Hiroto Ochiai from Niigata, Japan, began his culinary career after university, working at Enterprise HUGE Co., Ltd. where he explored various international cuisines, including Mexican, Italian, and Spanish.
He later joined Jean-Georges Tokyo, learning from one of New York’s top restaurants. In 2017, he moved to the U.S. and contributed to the Michelin-starred restaurants Sushi Amane and Shion 69 Leonard in New York serving as Sous Chef and Beverage Director. Certified as a Sake Sommelier, he combines Japanese and French culinary traditions to bring innovative dining experiences to Texas.
Following the operation of Hiro’s French Japanese at Ramen Izakaya Akira in Castle Hills (Nov 2024 – Feb 2025), we are now focusing on pop-up dining experiences and private catering. Whether an intimate omakase dinner or a large-scale event, we bring the essence of fine dining to you.
